Life has become interesting after that epic exam I took exactly 1 month from today. The weekends, which were totally devoted to studying and completing maximum counted pages I could, these days the weekends are long awaited only for the fun I have planned way in advance. I haven't been completely free on weekends since that day. To add to that, next 4-5 weekends are also planned.
This most recent weekend could be rated one of the best I had in all these years. 7 of us (school friends) made plans to meet up and have loads and loads of fun. Anshul, Mayank, Kush, Shubham, Atish and Abhishek Sinha. I took an off from work on Friday as it was planned to be a three-day out.
But at the last moment, the plan seemed to fail as Shubham, Atish and Sinha told me that they aren't getting tickets to come to Delhi from Lucknow. Somehow, after some bluffing by Anshul, they booked tickets by Volvo and were here on Saturday.
Thursday: I reached at Anshul's place at about 11 pm. Kush was already there and they had made all the arrangements - Smirnoff and Blender's Pride. Nothing much done that day, we were just at home, chit chatting.
Friday: Mayank had to come at about 11 in the morning. Anshul had to go to office for 2-3 hours. Kush had already left for IIT because of some of his lab work. I was alone at home, waiting for these guys to come. It was about 3 and I called Anshul and Mayank to know their whereabouts. Mayank said he would come at about 7 and Anshul told that he was also stuck at office and would come by the evening. I was feeling extremely bad as I seemed to have wasted one holiday of mine. I spent the day surfing the net.
Finally, when Mayank and Anshul were at home, we called up Kush too. Later in the evening, I got to know that the team for the project I was working on had to stay in the office till 12 midnight. So, it was a good decision in the end to have taken an off.
The four of us went to Blue-O @ Ambience Mall, Gurgaon later in the night. We did some bowling and consumed alcohol. Later, I did something which I never expected myself to do and that was, dancing on a dance floor.
We went to eat the paranthas behind the Genpact building at about 12 in the night. Awesome crowd comes there during those hours. Girls and guys enjoy their physical intimacy sitting in their cars, etc ;) Unfortunately, I have only been the spectator always :P
We came back to Anshul's place at about 2 and went off to sleep.
Saturday: Atish, Shubham and Sinha arrived early morning, even before I got up. Some samosas and chhole bhaturey for the breakfast, plus the drinks again. We headed for Shiva Oasis Resort at about 11 am. The car trip was fun. Bought Signature from a highway theka. Finally reached at about 4 and felt very bad on reaching there. We went on to play cricket there (after so many months I had held a bat or a ball), then went on for swimming and later in the night, some drinks again. Slept after a very very tiring day at 12.
Sunday: Frustrated by 'nothing-interesting' at the Resort, we checked out at about 10 am. We did a very heavy breakfast, with me eating 2 Masala Dosas, some Aloo Poori and (for the very first time a non-alcoholic drink in so many days) coffee. We went to Neemrana Fort. One of my office colleague had created a lot of hype over that place about being so awesome. Actually, Neemrana was the only reason why we booked that Resort (vicinity). The entry fee for Neemrana visitor was Rs. 500 per person for just 2 hours. And when we went inside, there was NOTHING worth watching except a few scenic beauty. We were told that the place is good when you stay there as guests-residents for a day or two. Anyways, gloomy here too.
Initially we were puzzled how to cover the entire Fort in just two hours, but eventually came back in about 70 minutes. We drove back home, after a brief 10 min stay at Star Mall, Gurgaon (in search of tickets for Delhi Belly).
Reached back at 3 pm, we watched Pyar Ka Punchnama (once again!!), over Signature and Pizza. Planned to see Shaitan next, Shubham told that the downloaded movie has been cut at a number of places, so it is better not to watch it at home, rather going to some theatre. We decided to go to Select City Walk Mall, Saket.
Having reached there, our plan for the movie got replaced by the visit to Hard Rock Cafe. I had heard about this place umpteen times but never went there. For the first time in my life, I had Tequila Shots, along with some Beer too. By the end of it, even I wasn't down, I thought to give alcohol a break. We came out of HRC and went to PVR, Saket. God, this South Delhi is just so damn cool. Seems girls have descended directly from the heaven. But I feel very sad there, because I keep thinking when will I get opportunity like that, rather then roaming with 5 male friends :P
Came back to Anshul's place at about 12 and went off to sleep by 2 am after a serious leg pulling of Kush.
Monday: Atish, Shubham and Sinha left at 5 in the morning as they had Shatabdi to catch at 6:15. I woke up at 6:30 and went to my home at Noida by 7. And then... the dull day commenced which ended the most awesome weekend I had in several years.
